About Us
Familiar Ghosts (Formerly The Killer Coven) was founded in late 2018. By March of 2019 they had an idea for a concept album, ‘The Hands of Fate’, that was written and recorded over the next 6 months. By November of 2019 inspiration struck for their next album entitled ‘Daydreams & Nightmares’ which was released on December 21st, 2020. Their newest album Chasing Butterflies was started during the pandemic early in 2020 and will be released
July 14, 2023 marking their longest worked on album thus far.
Familiar Ghosts’ musical influences include Delta Rae, Stevie Nicks, Hozier & Queen.
Jemma Allen (they/them)
Jemma has been a musician for most of their life. They started piano lessons at the age of 2 and instantly fell in love with music. Jemma is currently a vocal performance and music education double major at EIU. Jemma is an aries and their aesthetic has been described as 'disaster chic.' Jemma enjoys reading, watching old musicals and doing tarot readings in their spare time! Jemma credits Delta Rae, Demi Lovato, Pierce the Veil, Bad Omens and Freddie Mercury among their musical influences.
Alaina Ingram (she/her)
Alaina was born into a music loving family. Her father was a DJ and her mom loved to sing. She spent most of her childhood singing in school choirs and discovered her love of music when she first watched Cats: The Musical. Alaina is an aquarius & is either destined for either madness or greatness, depending on the day. Her free time is spent hiking, going to concerts, practicing the craft, and photography. Alaina includes Alanis Morrisette, Hair: The Musical, and Little Mix among her musical influences.
